A breakfast pudding is sure to brighten your day here on the Northern Tablelands of NSW. Our Strawberry Chia Pudding recipe contains the following ingredients for their powerhouse nutritional value.

Chia seeds are a great source of fibre and omega 3 fatty acids. Oats are lovely way to nourish the nervous system while reducing the uptake of cholesterol. Almond milk unless home made, will be fortified with some extra calcium which is important if you are dairy free or on a low dairy diet. Strawberries are delicious and sweeten the pudding, while contributing valuable polyphenols and phytonutrients. Vaalia yoghurt contains evidence based probiotic strains to help support a healthy gut microbiome which is key for immune function, regulating inflammation and brain health. Nuts contain phytosterols or plant cholesterols that are healthy and offer valuable vitamins and minerals, while honey has a long history of traditional use as a demulcent.

Whether you are at the top of the mountain in Guyra, Glen Innes, Armidale or over in Inverell, this Strawberry Chia Pudding recipe is the perfect start to the day to keep your energy and blood sugar levels stable throughout the morning. At the same time you are optimising your health with nutrient dense superfoods. Let us know what you think! Do you skip breakfast?
